TENJET

Treating Chronic Tendon Pain at the Source

TenJet is a minimally invasive procedure which utilizes ultrasound and a needle-like device to treat chronic tendon pain. A small incision is made, which lets the device shoot out a jet of saline that specifically targets diseased/damaged tissue. The design allows for the suction and debriding of the diseased tissue which allows for the pathology of the tendon to change.

This procedure is relatively short, lasting approximately 15-25 minutes with the patient under local anesthesia. This procedure can be used in the shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, ankle and foot..

Will I feel any pain during the TenJet procedure?

There may be some discomfort as the physician administers the local anesthetic. After the procedure, you may feel soreness in the area. You can use over-the-counter medication to alleviate discomfort.

How long will my recovery take?

Pain relief may occur within three months of completing the procedure. Your physician will facilitate the post-procedure recovery plan.

Will I need stitches after my treatment?

Short answer: no! Because this is minimally invasive, no stiches are necessary however steristrips are used.
